How does Ultrasound Cavitation work?
A fully trained therapist will apply specially designed hand piece to your skin. The hand piece will then transmit low level ultrasonic waves which consist of compression-expansion impulses that travel in a circular motion. This motion then causes an infinite quantity of micro-cavities or micro-bubbles that gradually enlarge. This progressive enlargement finishes as micro-bubbles start to collide and implode, producing shock waves that favor emulsification and elimination of fat tissues (this phenomena is called “cavitation”). The liquid is then easily vacuumed out from the body using the lymphatic and urinary system.
Radiofrequency (RF) energy is a new and promising technology for non-surgical tighten of the early signs of loose or sagging skin. RF energy alone is primarily used to treat skin laxity by tightening, and is best suited to patients with mild to moderate sagging of facial tissues, usually those in their mid-thirties to fifties, with any skin color. It is commonly used to treat the forehead, under the eyes, cheeks, mid-face, jaw line and the neck.
The hand piece is slowly rotated over the target area transmitting radio waves through the upper layers of the skin to dermis, heating the dermis to between 40 & 50 degrees Celsius without burning the skin surface.
Tissue Retraction: The generated heat causes local contraction of the collagen fibers, to immediately tighten the skin.
New collagen formation: Bing the dermis, new collagen production is stimulated. This tightening effect is delayed and may take from 3-6 months to be visible.
Improved circulation: RF will also improve the blood and lymphatic flow. This helps with a better oxygen supply and greater toxin clearance to further reduce the effects of aging.
GBG trained therapists offer cost effective and professional treatments including:
- Cellulite and fat reduction
- Body Contouring
- Skin tightening and fat melting
(Where radio-frequency is combined)
RF can also be used in conjunction with ultrasound cavitation to aid in further fat breakdown and also to tighten the skin in the same area the cavitation treatment has taken place.
- Most people are safe to have the treatments
- Your trained therapist should be able to determine your suitability
- Consult your Dr. if you are not sure
- People with cardiac and vascular diseases, pacemaker carriers and women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should avoid undergoing the procedure
No, cavitation is a painless treatment. Mild redness may appear occasionally but will be highly unlikely to cause any actual pain. The heat from the hand pieces felt during the treatment is perfectly tolerable.
Yes, it is a nonsurgical procedure without anesthesia, it is non-invasive (no cutting, leaves no scars or the need for any post-operative course) and no downtime should be experienced after the treatment.
All those areas with localised fat: thighs, abdomen and buttocks are the most appropriate but there is no real limitation as to areas of the body.
Cavitation is not a method to lose weight but to reshape the body. It is particularly indicated for the reduction of abiposity, the famous “love handles” that won’t go away with diet and exercise.
Yes, because it removes cellulite preventing this from recurring in the treated areas, without damaging the vascular system.
Because ultrasound cavitation causes an emulsification of fat, converting it into a substance easy to eliminate through the urinary and the lymphatic system.
We recommend a low calorie diet and drink at least 1.5 litres of water before and after the session. Drinking water is a necessary part in order to eliminate the fat. Regular exercise such
as walking or other aerobic activities should also be maintained in order to help the system to naturally process the fat after the treatment.
The body eliminates the fat of a single session in approximately 3-5 days, so we recommend an interval of around one week between each session.
- Ultrasound Cavitation:
6-10 treatments spaced one week apart
- Skin Tightening:
6-10 treatments spaced one week or three days apart
AFTER CARE FOR THE NEXT 3 DAYS
- NO CAFFEINE (TEA, COFFEE OR COKE)
- NO ALCOHOL (YOUR LIVER IS BUSY GETTING RID OF ALL THIS EXTRA FAT)
- DRINK LOTS OF WATER AND EAT FRUITS
- NO VERY FATTY MEAL DIRECTLY AFTER (IE: FRIED FOOD)
WARNING: DO NOT START THIS TREATMENT UNDER THE FOLLOWING CIRCUMSTANCES:
DURING MENSTRUATION (DO NOT APPLY TO ABDOMEN)
PREGNANT OR BREASTFEEDING
INFECTIONS AND DISEASES OF THE , HIGH OR UNBALANCED CHOLESTEROL, THYROID DISEASE AND OTHER HORMONAL DISORDERS
ANY CHRONIC DISEASES, IMMUNE DISEASES, HEART DISEASE OR PACEMAKERS
AUTOIMMUNE DISEASES, HIV OR AIDS
CANCER IN ANY FORM AT ANY TIME
SEVERE HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE OR CIRCULATION PROBLEMS
LIVER OR KIDNEY DISEASE, TREATMENT WITH ANTI-INFLAMMATORY, ANTICOAGULANTS, ANTIBIOTICS,
OR YOU ARE UNDER THE AGE OF 18.
The procedure takes place in four stages.
Stage 1-2. The slimming treatment – Lipo cavitation and the Mono-Polar RF lipolysis, dissolves fat cells and gives immediate slimming results.
Stage 3-4. Once the slimming treatment is finished the application of a vacuum drainage technique is used, followed by Tri -Polar Radio Frequency skin tightening. This is the best approach to reduce cellulite and any sagging skin related to the loss of fat from that area.
Hydration is a very important component of the successful Cavitation treatment. You need to drink at least 2 litres of water a day, starting one week before your treatment. Choose an area you want to treat and start moisturising that area daily, after your morning shower, and at night.
Stage1. Ultrasound Lipo Cavitation
20 min per treatment area
The Ultrasound transducer glides over the selected fatty area, with the active G5 “Anti-cellulite” treatment gel. The sensation is best described as a hot stone massage.
The ultrasound delivers a concentrated low frequency ultrasonic beam, which liquefies the local fat deposit. The ultrasound selectively disrupts fragile fat cell membranes, through thousands of microscopic implosions thus increasing its permeability; this does not affect the nearby tissues such as skin, arteries and peripheral nerves. It is completely painless and free of harm.
The excreted triglyceride content from disrupted fat cells releases into the surrounding tissues and then enters the metabolic pathways to be processed into glycerol and free fatty acids (FFA) used for energy production. Water-soluble glycerol enters into interstitial fluids and lymphatic circulation, and the insoluble FFA travels to the liver, where they are processed like any dietary fats.
Usually after the reduction of subcutaneous fat layers, skin loses elasticity and gains laxity; in this case the Radio Frequency Skin Tightening treatment offers tremendous help and is an essential component of anti-cellulite therapy.
Stage 2. Mono-polar Radio Frequency Lipolysis
20min per treatment area,
Mono-polar Radio Frequency Lipolysis further disrupts the fat cells, emulsifies the fat and breaks it down into small particles that the body can easily and naturally metabolise.
High-power mono-polar radiofrequency current intensively heats the sub-dermis (where cellulite is located), exerting a triple action, slimming, tightening and lifting of the cellulite tissues.
You can end the session by completing stage 1 and stage 2 of the whole procedure; this will give you a good slimming result, and take only 30 minutes to complete.
Stage 3. Tri-polar Radio Frequency
The Tri-polar Radio Frequency Skin Tightening Treatment increases the temperature on the sub dermal level. This shortens the collagen fibres and stimulates the fibroblast cells, which in turn produces the new collagen and restores the elastine- collagen network, smoothing out the cellulite and tightening the skin. During each Radio Frequency Treatment you will feel a brief sensation of heat with little to no discomfort.
Radio Frequency can be performed as a stand alone treatment offering skin tightening results without surgery and can also be used after your favorite in-clinic treatments, such as Facials and Rejuvenation Hyperbaric Oxygen Infusion, or be alternated with Cosmetic Acupuncture or VAST Harmonic Facial Renewal to further enhance your results.
Stage 4. Negative Pressure (Vacuum) Lipomassage
Specific vacuum lipomasage combines sliding and pumping movements that produce vascular exercise while promoting the reabsorption of retained fluids and toxins and their drainage to the lymphatic system.
This vacuum lipomassage is performed to finish the treatment as this helps to transport the emulsified fat into the lymphatic system. Furthermore, the liberated fat from the adiposities is metabolised by the liver and excreted in the urine, so it is recommended to drink plenty of water, both on the day of treatment and on the subsequent days as well.
Nina prides herself on personal attention and individualized care before, during and after treatments. She follows strict safety procedures to ensure you receive the highest quality care you deserve.
Nina believes that flawless skin is possible at any age. It is also possible that your body’s biological age can be slowed and even reversed. Whether your concern is to address the needs of mature skin or to maintain a youthful appearance. The Radio Frequency Skin Tightening treatment is the latest technique being incorporated into anti-ageing skin management.
It helps tighten skin on the face and body through the use of heat which penetrates deep into the dermis layer and stimulates the production of collagen.
After the Ultrasound Lipo Cavitation treatment is completed it is recommended to do 30 min of cardiovascular exercise, to help speed up the metabolic processes, thus removing the freed fatty acids out of the body.
